2022 Parkside NWSL brings a flagship approach to cards for the women's soccer league. The set has a deep checklist that goes well beyond base cards and into autographs, parallels and several insert themes.
It all starts with the base set. Running 225 total cards, it's a mix of superstars, veterans and a highly regarded group of rookies. Among the parallels are Black and White, Foil Board, Vintage Stock (200 copies each), Shimmer Foil (100 copies each) and 1/1s. In additional to these are three hanger box exclusives: NWSL Foil, Blue Foil (Walmart) and Red Foil (Target). Select cards also have Short Print Variations that are limited to 100 copies per card. Even more limited are OOPs versions for a dozen cards. Exact details on these aren't known beyond the card numbers but these have just 25 copies each.
More than 30 players have autographs in the product. Standard Signatures cards have 389 copies each as well as Foil (/100), Gold Foil (/10), Players Issue Red Foil (10 copies) and 1/1s.Odds for autographs are two per hobby box and 1:22 retail hanger boxes. The NWSL's young talent gets a further spotlight in Promising Prospects. The 30-card insert set has Blue (Walmart), Orange (assorted hanger boxes), Red (Target), Purple (/500), Golden (/25) and Diamond (1/1) parallels as well. Year One highlights the debut seasons of 12 of the league's best. These have 1,500 copies each.2022 Parkside NWSL brings in some standout designs with Sirkel and HYPED. For Sirkel, the checklist has 12 cards, each with just 100 copies. HYPED comes with a 20-card checklist. Among the other limited inserts are 10 Goal Club (100 copies each) and Beautiful Game (500 copies each). Americana has just one card, Christen Press, and a print run of 500 copies. Eternal spotlights Christine Sinclair and is also limited to 100.Rounding out the 2022 Parkside NWSL checklist are 2021 Moments (30 cards), Cityscapes (24 cards), Luminescent (12 cards), and Vintage (36 cards).
Look for highly sought-after rookie cards of Naomi Girma and Sam Coffey, two players who quickly became cornerstones of their teams.
You might also pull incredible autograph cards from stars like Mallory Pugh (Swanson) and Brianna Pinto, making this a must-have for any serious collector.
